The LDAC Kappa League is the youth leadership and mentorship program of the Lawrenceville-Duluth (GA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Rooted in the principles of the national Guide Right Program, our mission is to develop the next generation of inspired, disciplined, and impactful young men—leaders of tomorrow who are equipped to thrive in every area of life.

This program is centered on providing mentoring, tutoring and direction to young men between the ages of 11 to 18. Young men are inducted into this organization and provided the skills necessary to help them grow and develop their leadership talents in every phase of human endeavor. There are multiple short term Kappa League Programs that are implemented throughout the year such as Educational Support / College Prep, Financial Education, and Career Prep programs.

About Kappa League
Our Glorious History
Guide Right is a program for the educational and occupational guidance of youth, primarily inspirational and informational in character. Its reach extends to high schools and colleges alike. In the latter, giving due attention to the needs of undergraduate Brothers. Conceived in 1922 by Leon W. Stewart, and suggested at the twelfth Grand Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Guide Right became the fraternity's national service program.

They not only oversee the program’s structure and activities but also build lasting relationships with students, helping them navigate academic, social, and life challenges. Their dedication ensures that each participant receives the mentorship, discipline, and encouragement needed to grow into a confident, responsible leader.

The Kappa League year runs from September to May. Our program is at capacity for 2021 -2022 however, there is an option to have your child added to the wait list. Please click on this link to be added to the waitlist. Our goal is to maintain a robust program for engaged young men. There is opportunity to move from the wait list to active membership as we monitor each member's engagement and desire to be part of the program.
Age and admissions requirement vary by chapter.

NO. Kappa League is a youth LEADERSHIP organization that is focused solely on the personal development, academic achievement and college and career preparation of its young members.
The Kappa League year runs from September to May. Our program is at capacity for 2024 -2025 however, there is an option to have your child added to the wait list. There is opportunity to move from the wait list to active membership as we monitor each member's engagement and desire to be part of the program. Age and admissions requirement vary by chapter.
While activities will vary from chapter to chapter, almost all Kappa League chapters focus on: personal development, college preparation, community service, college field trips, career based field trips, youth leadership activities and mentoring.
Not at all. While there is a strong focus upon African American young men, Kappa Leagues throughout the country have members that reflect the global community of young men.
Kappa League and Kappa Alpha Psi are two distinctly separate programs. The goal of Kappa League is to train and produce more achieving young men of color that will become leaders of impact and influence in today’s society.
